Pai City is between the route on highway number 1095 of the chiangmai and Maehongson. Pai is Amphoe in Maehongson which surround with the high mountain of Thailand - Burma borderland. It's very cold in winter, cover with the fog, a little steam in the morning, peaceful atmosphere, green rice field, light blue sky with warm sunlight which shine pass the thick fog. See the pine tree which cold gigantic perennial in rows follow the foothills. Moreover you will meet the folkways unambitiously of the people in this city. Pai become the place where tourist interesting attraction and attract many tourist from the worldwide come to touch this small city
Pai is High from the sea level 508 meters. Point summit at Doi Jik Jong where is high 1,972 meters from sea level. Topography is the plain, encircle by high mountain. Pai has many rivers e.g. Pai River, Khong river and Ping Noi river and have many brooks (Huay translate in thai) e.g. Huay Mae Muaeng, Huay Mae Yen and Huay Mae Hee. Population in Pai about 29,897 peoples ( reference in 2007 ) and area has 2,244.7 sq.meters.
